What Would Marcus Do

I'm committed to reducing violence in our city because....

The reason I pledge under triple digits is because I know the pain and trauma behind loosing one to gun violence when it DIDNT and shouldn’t have had to be that way also I know what Columbus was like before all the gun violence was as common as it is now and I can see the change it has made not in a good way. My brother Marcus Marquis Payne did not deserve to die like this.

He was robbed and gunned down in Victorian Village making him the 141st Homicide of 2021 in Central Ohio . While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life, his love for family and friends and providing support to others in need. Our goal is become an avenue to bring hope and resources to our community along with bringing a greater awareness to gun violence in the city of Columbus.

What Would Marcus Do

I'm committed to reducing violence in our city because....

I unfortunately have experienced the loss of my brother Marcus Marquis Payne to a senseless act of gun violence. This pain is unexplainable and uncomprehensible, yet our family continues to move forward in Marcus’ honor by providing hope and resources to those in need and support in raising awareness to the gun violence in our city.

What Would Marcus Do

I'm committed to reducing violence in our city because....

Seeing families and friends morn over a murdered loved one is never a good feeling nor a site anyone would want to see. Losing my brother Marcus Marquis Payne to such a senseless act of violence only adds to the so many other reasons why we need to tackle the issues of gun violence and give more light on it ultimately suppressing it . We have to stop all the senseless killings
