In this hands-on course, youth will dive into the art of machine embroidery through two full hours of foundational training. They’ll learn essential skills including machine maintenance, threading, needle replacement, hoop attachment (both hat and flat), and basic digitizing tools like text design. After practicing with training videos, students will apply their skills by embroidering their own custom hats. Once hats are mastered (within the first 2.5 weeks), the class will graduate to flat embroidery—culminating in personalized shirts designed and stitched by the youth themselves.
